Group Travel

Are you a community or voluntary group and would your organisation like to go out as a group, but find suitable transport or it’s cost a barrier?

â€¢    Are you stuck for ideas for events/visits and want to consider something different?

•    Does your group want to attend an event, but nobody wants the responsibility of driving?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then CT4N Charitable Trust may be the answer to your problems.

Who are CT4N Charitable Trust?

Launched in May 2021, CT4N Charitable Trust is the new name for Nottingham Community Transport – a local company that has been providing transport to community and voluntary organisations for over 43 years.  Our main aim is to provide safe and affordable transport services which will improve accessibility, reduce social isolation and loneliness, to help promote community cohesion.

What do we offer?

Serving Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, we offer a modern fleet of fully accessible and affordable minibuses, which are available for use for pre-organised trips and also tailor-made trips, including evenings and weekends.  Whether it is a trip to the seaside, a visit to the countryside, or a special event, we are here to help. We can also provide a driver, so you do not have the worry, stress or responsibility of driving.

Why should you use us?

Our team of friendly, uniformed drivers are specially trained to the highest standards.  We also ensure that all drivers have an enhanced DBS check, so you and your group can rest assured that you are in very safe hands, from a local company that really cares about the community it serves. Our vehicles are clean, comfortable and well-maintained. They are also accessible and can accommodate passengers with mobility challenges, ranging from those who need to travel in their wheelchair, to those who need assistance boarding a vehicle.

How will using our services benefit the community?

By using our services you are helping to support our charity. As we don’t have any shareholders, we don’t pay any dividends, so we are able to keep our costs as low as possible, which ultimately benefits the local community that we serve.

How many people can we transport?

We operate minibuses which can carry up to 16 passengers, but if you need more than one minibus, we can provide an additional vehicle. We have flexible seating arrangements so wheelchair users can travel with everyone else and join in the fun.

Are minibuses available that we can drive ourselves?

We know that some groups like the flexibility to travel when and how they want which is why all of our minibuses are available on a self-drive basis. These vehicles can be driven with a category B licence, providing that the driver is over 21 years old and has at least two year’s driving experience and the licence is clear of any motoring convictions.

Don’t worry if you’ve never driven a minibus before, as we can provide one to one tuition.  Once your group is registered with us, the nominated driver will need to undertake a short course to learn about the safe operation of our minibuses, which starts at just £60.

How do we join?

Providing your organisation is a local community or voluntary organisation, registered charity, or operates on a not-for-profit basis, then the process is simple.

Firstly, you need to register your group with us which costs Â£10.

Once your group has registered, you will then have full access to book one of our pre-arranged trips, or arrange your own trip.

For tailor made trips, please contact the team on 0115 985 6904 or email us at hello@ct4n.co.uk

As an example, you can hire a self-drive minibus for £30 for half a day, £45 for a full day and just £60 for a weekend (excluding fuel).

Fuel is an additional charge at 50p per mile.

I have further questions – who do I ask?
